One photo & twenty words

Amy posted this yesterday. It really resonated with me. Blogging ebbs and flows and at the moment I am in an ebb. I am shying away from posting because I feel I have nothing to say.
I want to remind myself that this is my slice of the web and I can go at whatever pace I need to.

I feel I need to slowly ease myself back in again. Little posts, a few memes, back to where the words flow out naturally.

I'm starting small. A fun challenge I started last month. I think a few of us out there are feeling in a similar dip. This is a no pressure post. If you want to join in please do. If the words aren't coming it does not matter.

Go find a picture and choose twenty words.
Here is mine:

I love that she writes in green pen. She sometimes sends chocolate. This time she sent me hoover bags too.

Oh, isn't it hard to keep up the flow when you feel as though everything you write is banal and uninteresting? Well, that is how I am feeling a lot of the time right now!

I love the photo and 20 word idea but didn't want to use it so blatantly when it was your idea ... though, it will be making an appearance soonish!

Brilliant! Love it. Is it the time of year? new term, new season, towards the year end and Christmas approaching again and so soon!
Ebb must give way to flow, we need patience.

Is it from your mum? Surely only a mother would realise the importance of hoover bags!!

Definitely your mother i reckon. Mine used to send me exciting packages too when i was at uni. They were always the highlight of my day! x

I am guessing this is a Mum sending these useful and restorative things here? I love your idea and I am sure I will not be the only one joining in!

I love this :) I haven't had to send hoover bags yet (though that's a good
one) but I do have to go to my Mum's at the weekend and collect some thermal vests she has bought for him and post those. She's worried he'll catch a chill on his way to lectures..

Hooray for Red Cross parcels! The Brainy One is a fan of giant chocolate buttons.

A good selection of goodies, from the practical to the delicious! Is your mum a teacher by any chance? At our school teachers always write in either green or red!

Hi Ali. I have seen friends post 20 words and thought I'd pop by. A lovely idea and I can resonate with your thoughts. I've been quiet on my blog recently too. I have had too much to say, too much happening. Too much to choose from. Where to start? And no time to begin.
Thanks for making me recognise this. As you said, start small and in your own time. That's what I do too. Hope to join you with this sometime soon.

Hooray for care packages from thoughtful family and friends. I remember receiving them from my wonderful Aunty, usually containing tinned salmon and home made tea loaf!

This brought a smile, thank you.

I'm with you on the ebb and flow of blogging. My blogging has been very slow recently but I hope I am moving forward now.

Lovely care package - reminded me of the great ones I use to get when I was a poor student nurse living in hospital digs.

Love the idea of photo and just 20 words (surprisingly hard to get the word count just write) so accepted the challenge. Will try to remember to do on a monthly basis.

Lovely idea this and as I am far more Ebb than flow, I thought I would join in - hope you don't mind.

Love the package, I've only sent one so far but it was a little larger - everything she'd forgotten to take!!

Hi Abi, I saw this on Alexa's blog and thought I'd give it a go!

I really needed this yesterday as my blogging spirit is definitely flagging these days.
I just popped a "care package" in the mail yesterday to my boy - some sweatshirts (you might call them jumpers?) he wanted, plus lots of his favorite kinds of sour chewy candies.

What a lovely parcel to receive and I love the one photo 20 words idea - have done it on my blog today, so thanks for the inspiration!

Never underestimate the importance of a good hoover bag!

Thanks so much for starting this lovely feature. I'm very much 'starting again' myself (and catching up with long lost friends) so it's good to know I'm not alone in losing my way a little.

I need something to get me going blogwise so I'm liking your idea of 1 picture 20 words. I think I'll be joining in this month.

Love sending my boys care packages but I think the letter is what I love. Tell your mom thanks for inspiring me to write letters to my 21 and 25 year olds.
